I have no problem with tearing up or burning the Koran but in this
instance it is based on the false premise islam is merely or simply a
religion. Islam is far more than a religion. It is a violent political
ideology complete with its own laws and court system. It is in effect a
form of government.

Islam attempts to hide the fact religion and state are one and the same.
Religion is the state but is used to impose islam on non muslim
societies as if it were a separate component from their laws. Americans
have a hard time understanding this concept because we think in terms of
the separation of church and state.
Sharia law is anathema to the U.S. Constitution for the above reasons.

Religion is not the issue. The issue is the Constitution versus Sharia
Law. It comes down to Americans choosing either to defend the
Constitution against the very type of government seeking to replace the
Constitution or Americans willingly subjugating themselves to Sharia Law
with the understanding islam considers anyone not muslim as dhimmi, or
